Sandra Walkin Furniture is a fusion of a love of trees and a commitment to using reclaimed or rescued wood, and a fascination with the chemistry of metal patinas into one-of-a kind functional pieces of furniture art. 

 

Most of these pieces began years before when they were sawn into natural-edged slabs, stacked and allowed to air dry then taken to a kiln for the final cure.  Every piece has a story to tell.  I love sharing the story and giving life and beauty to something that was discarded or declared unfit for a traditional piece of furniture. 

 

There is no greater artist than nature. I only enhance what she has already done. My love for what I do is reflected in my work. Hence, that is why I say I build furniture with soul.
